Georgia Dalzell (b. 2001) is a British artist based in London, originally from Cumbria. She is supported by the Winsor & Newton Bursary at the Royal College of Art (2025–26), where she grduated earlier this year.

Dalzell graduated from Leeds Arts University with a BA in Fine Art in 2025. She has exhibited at the Royal Academy and Sunny Bank Mills, and was named runner-up for the Chadwell Award in 2026.

  • Dalzell's paintings juxtapose intimacy and detachment through scenes drawn from filmic references, photography, and lived encounters. Rooted in the rural landscapes of Northern England where she spent her formative years, her paintings return to motifs of bare trees, quiet roads, and untended paths.

Framed through distanced, camera-like perspectives, subtle traces of human presence create a tautness, positioning the viewer as witness to something dormant yet charged.

Materiality plays an active role within the work. Surfaces built with chalk, marble dust, and translucent glazes mediate the viewer's visual access, creating paintings in which density and stillness are held in tension.
