Leon Morrocco: A Studio on the Côte D'Azur: 2021-6

For the past five years, working from a small studio in the old harbour of Nice, Leon Morrocco has followed the mediterranean coast inland, producing drawings and paintings of villages, terraces, and the stark, towering landscapes of the Alpes-Maritimes. Bringing together work from this period of intense activity, the exhibition reveals the continuing exhilaration the artist has found in the shapes, colours, and life along the french coast.

Talk with the Artist - Saturday 6th June 14:30pm

Join Leon Morrocco in the gallery for a special talk on his new exhibition. He will reflect on his time in the South of France and discuss the processes and inspirations behind the paintings. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the accompanying sketchbooks, where many of the ideas first began.

The event is free, though spaces are limited.
