I am drawn to water and changing light in landscape. I live 5 minutes walk from the water meadows and river Stour. The meadows flood and the river changes character throughout the year. Further down the river Thomas Gainsborough sketched along the Sudbury water meadows and further down the River Stour at Dedham Constable relished the river in Dedham vale to Stratford St Mary’s.
Rivers are under stress but here on the river I feel hope and joy.
