When you spent prolonged time in the landscape, naturally occurring patterns, rhythms and shapes become clear and act as a decisive fingerprint of that one specific place. This is what I have tried to capture of Tentsmuir, a forest that I visited often throughout my childhood. My painting acts as a portrait of a landscape I have returned to time and time again, a place I am drawn to so deeply because of the memories embedded there.
