It’s a privilege to be an artist. My eyes see beauty every day, and in May, my nearby woodland was filled with a carpet of Bluebells. I enjoyed painting throughout the month, watching and painting the small changes of forest life emerging.
Some mornings was filled with bright early light, catching patches of bright bluebell magic. Other days, I had to run for cover as the rain threatened to wash away what I painted.
If I manage to express Nature’s essence of what it feels like, its spirit and energy, I feel I have captured something untouchable and for me, that is the magic of life.
I live my life by painting through the year and each season is a constant reminder to keep moving and flowing with the cycle of nature with an open heart.
