The area that my piece was inspired by is situated within High Park on the Blenheim Estate. The park is on the perimeter of Blenheim Palace. Full of veteran and ancient trees it is an ongoing area of Scientific interest for regeneration, wildlife management, grassland management & the surveying of veteran trees. Throughout the seasons the park is organically managed and is an ever changing landscape of textures, colours and mood. It is somewhere that me, my wife and our son love to visit for walks and general recreation. I have been producing works inspired by this park for the past 4 years, it is a rich source of inspiration to me. I am always able to find new areas for investigation and what excites me partly is that it is always in a state of change and has a wealth of historic layers to it.
