I live in Kelmscott in Oxfordshire where the River Thames still meanders at a gentle pace. Most days, I walk my dog, Dougie, along the Thames Path. He has his favourite swimming spots, and we spent a couple of days in May at one of them—me painting and him swimming, both very content. The resulting paintings are little abstracted snapshots of the sculptural greenery, vivid colours, and dappled reflections along the riverbank.
