On the edge of the South Downs are Hollingbury woods, with chalk paths and an ancient hill fort, a sea view, and this delightful wild flower meadow. Its a short walk from my home, and the day i decided to go up and paint it was pretty windy so all the wild flowers were dancing around in the breeze. I chose this spot, as i loved the way the bright yellow flowers glowed against the dark green of the trees, and the foreground was just a sea of wild flowers ready to capture in paint. It felt like a joyful late Spring moment.
