My new studio is located in a beautiful church in Islington surrounded by a couple of small gardens that I enjoy visiting frequently. I love how such a small patch can bring instant tranquility and offer so much life to watch. I sometimes divide my studio day, going for a quick plein air painting or sketching. The rose garden is the result of one of these sessions in Thornhill Road Gardens in Islington.
