This piece was painted en plain air at a community garden I volunteer at where I tended to the herb garden. The afternoon was overcast and had intermittent showers I wanted to capture and record the stillness in between rainfall under a canopy where I had set up. Looking through the bordering trees and shrub into a steep field where multiple football pitches hid. I guess the reason this place drew me in was due to the fact that I spent long hours tending to the garden and I didn’t had time to stop and observe. Paiting into the late afternoon, starlings flew into the garden and creating such a buzz behind me.
