Barafundle Bay is one of my favourite beach’s full stop. I live 25 minutes away so it is a popular choice for me and my wife and our two basset hounds to venture to for a walk. The view I chose is when you walk up a path heading towards Stackpole Head and you glance back through the trees and get a tantalising glimpse of the sand and sea.
I painted this scene in my studio based on a photo I took. When I painted it I was taken back there with each stroke. My palette is ten shades Dulux have named as their Greenhouse range. I hope the changing environment never alters this view.
