This wasn't the sunset I...I spent a day between Broadstairs and Margate painting until the sun set and the tide came in claiming a few of my pastel pencils. This wasn't the sunset I initially had hoped for but that ball of light suspended in the mist, lingering after the day was almost gone felt exactly how I felt standing alone on the beach, holding on to a perfect day filled with children's laughter, seagulls overhead and the crackling of barnacles on the rocks. Afterglow is my attempt to hold on to that feeling just a little bit longer.
