A Sussex horizon. A straight depiction of these roads would be less interesting. I'm trying to cultivate the feeling I get when driving - at night - on empty country roads. There might be music playing on the sound system, or the gentle whoosh of tyres pushing through space, the headlights throw grass and stones into luminous relief but you're always driving into the dark ahead.
It's tempting to abandon the destination you'd intended to get to......to go beyond it and just keep driving.
Foot on the pedal. On the move yet suspended in time.
