Lilith Piper b. 1999

Biography

Lilith Piper is a fourth-generation British landscape painter whose work is deeply rooted in the mythic terrain of Avalon and the Somerset landscape. Expanding beyond painting, her interdisciplinary practice encompasses set design, performance art, land art, and film, all unified by a reverence for place and the natural environment.

Live performance lies at the heart of Piper’s work. As the creative producer and programmer of the Tree Stage in Glastonbury Festival’s Woodsies area, she curates immersive experiences that bring audiences into closer dialogue with the land. Her practice explores the ceremonial power of gathering—how shared moments in specific places can foster transformation, storytelling, and a more attentive, reciprocal relationship with the natural world.
