Emma Taylor
Biography
Emma is a self-taught artist and illustrator based in Bath, Somerset. Her practice spans landscape and wildlife illustration, alongside large-scale mural work, and she has built an international client base through a distinctive style that combines observation with a strong sense of atmosphere and place.
Her work is deeply informed by a lifelong connection to the natural world. Raised in Scotland, educated in the Lake District, and having spent time in the New Forest and Switzerland, Emma draws on a rich visual memory of mountains, forests, and expansive landscapes. These influences continue to shape her imagery, which often reflects a sensitivity to both the character and mood of the environment.
Alongside her studio practice, Emma has completed a number of high-profile commercial commissions, including murals, book illustrations, and animal portraits. Most recently, she collaborated with fellow Bath-based artist Jason Dorley-Brown on a mural for the historic No.1 Royal Crescent museum.
