Keiran Stiles

Kieran Stiles is a landscape painter whose work is rooted in direct observation and an ongoing dialogue with place. His paintings begin outdoors, where sketchbook drawings, watercolour and gouache studies, and oils on panel form the foundation of his practice. These initial responses allow him to immerse himself in the shifting conditions of the landscape, capturing fleeting impressions that later evolve into more fully realised works.

Based in the Cotswolds, where he lives and works, Stiles also draws enduring inspiration from Cornwall, where he trained in Fine Art at Falmouth. Each painting becomes a unique expression of a specific location, filtered through both immediate experience and painterly interpretation.
