Fiona Read

Fiona Read is a British artist whose practice is rooted in a lifelong engagement with drawing and painting. She recalls a childhood spent sketching immediately after school, an early and sustained instinct that continues to underpin her work today.

She studied History of Art and Visual Studies at Oxford Brookes University before working for many years as a graphic artist in the UK, Japan, and France. This international experience in visual communication and design has informed her painterly approach, particularly in her attention to composition, structure, and refined detail.
