Painted in 2011 and measuring over four metres in length, Journeys, is Anne Magill's most ambitious and best-known painting. It was originally commissioned for the British Airways Concord Lounge at JFK Airport, New York where it hung for ten years until its closure in 2022.

Working in acrylic, oil and earth pigments gathered from her home on the coast of Co. Down, Anne created a brilliantly subtle and elegant analogy to the bustle of air travel, giving the viewer the sense of being part of the journey, the cars lined up as if on a runway, the arrival area transformed into an elegant colonnade.   The painting is on show at Spirit Studios and can be seen by appointment this autumn.
